New Review on GamingDaily.co.uk – Stronghold 3
November 21, 2011 § 1 Comment
Stronghold 3 is a weird game. It’s probably the most fun I have ever had in a roughly-dug pit of bugs, if I was honest. Yes, I freely admit it’s a very difficult game to recommend in the broken state it was released in, but damn it – I have spent so many hours in the “free-play” mode, I would be doing myself an injustice if I simply wailed on about how borked the combat is, or how many apples these greedy bastards chomp through during an apple-blight. It WILL be a great game, one day. Mark my words…
Go read them at GamingDaily.co.uk, and you can decide for yourself if I was being too nice. The most recent patches seem to have evened out a fair amount of crashes and the interface is now at the “tolerable” level, instead of the “bloody broken” one it was at when I reviewed it. But, even with all these fixes, thirty quid is still very steep for such an unfinished game.
It’s your call, but I’m still making castles. That has to count for something.
